Jane Marczewski, a singer known by her stage name Nightbird, who earned many followers after being a contestant on America’s Got Talent, has died after a battle with cancer.
Singer-songwriter Jane Marczewski, the “America’s Got Talent” contestant known professionally as “Nightbird” who impressed judges and earned a dedicated following, died Saturday after a four-year battle with cancer, according to her family. She was 31.
“We, her family, are devastated by her passing and unimaginable loss,” they said in a statement. “Those who knew her enjoyed her larger-than-life personality and sense of humour. … Her lasting legacy will be the gift of hope she gave to so many through her music and the strength she found in Jesus.”
