Romero’s Wife lashes out at Manchester United

Eliana Guercio, the wife of Manchester United goalkeeper Sergio Romero has hit out at the Manchester United board after a transfer deadline day move to Everton was botched.

The argentine stopper has been angling for a move away from Old Trafford after falling down the pecking orders due to the arrival of Dean Henderson.

Romero has spent five seasons at United and has only made seven Premier League appearances since joining in 2015.

The former Sampdoria man has proved a steady back-up option to David De Gea but will find first-team opportunities hard to come by after being demoted to third-choice goalie for the coming season and he will have been understandably disappointed at being denied the move away.

Stemming from this frustration, Romero’s wife took to her Instagram account to express her disappointment over the manner in which the deal was handled.
