Popular Lagos Night club QUILOX was shutdown by the government over noise pollution and traffic congestion. Few hours later owner of the night club and house of representatives member SHINA PELLER was arrested and detained by the Nigerian Police for allegedly organizing thugs to raid a police station or as stated by an Oyo state lawmaker AKIN ALABI; SHINA went to bail his customers whose cars were towed by the authority from the club to the station.

“We are on our way to Panti. First of all, the cars of the customers were towed and seized for violating traffic. FINE. But they were arrested and told to pay N100,000 bribe. Why on earth do you need to pay the police a bribe after your car has already been seized.

You arrest those parked on the road. Someone goes to bail the people arrested. You arrest the person to. That summarizes why SHINA PELLER was arrested.” AKIN ALABI wrote on a tweet.

the Nigerian Police public relations office also went ahead to issue a statement on why the law maker was arrested. “The honorable is the owner of that club and his customers are fond of parking on the road and blocking the road. if you want to pass that place, you will have tough times.

Up till 9 am, the club was still on. They refused to remove their vehicles and Lagosians were seriously disturbed. even the Governor was affected this morning. He had to maneuver his way through it.

This man had been talked to many times, but he refused to listen. This morning, our patrol vehicles towed three vehicles out of that place so that people could pass. This honorable mobilized ove 50 thugs to attack Maroko Police station to move those vehicles out. We had to send reinforcement from neighboring stations before they were able to curtail the situation.

That was how he was arrested with five of the thugs, while others escaped. We had to exercise a lot of restraints. they have been move to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Panti, where they are being investigated
