MISS KENYA CROWNED WINNER AT MISS AFRICA BEAUTY PAGEANT 2019

On Friday, December 27 2019 IRENE MUKII was crowned MISS AFRICA AFTER beating 21 contestants from other African countries, with Miss Angola, DANIEL LOPEZ and Miss South Africa ETHEL MAIMELA coming up second and third respectively.

The annual pageant which took place in Calabar, Cross River state, Nigeria is part of the events to mark the Calabar Carnival festival. This years event was hosted by  EBUKA OBI-UCHENDU and PEARL MODI, along with live performances by the likes of Patoranking and Victoria Kimani.

IRENE MUKII, reigning Miss Kenya 2019 and now MISS AFRICA is a Mathematics and Computer Science major at JOMO KENYATTA UNIVERSITY where she is also miss university went home with cash prize of $35,000 and a paid trip to Malasia
