Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss, and writer-director Lana Wachowski have officially returned to “The Matrix,”. This is after 17 years saying goodbye to the franchise. After the polarizing last entry of the original trilogy “The Matrix Revolutions.”
The Examiner spotted the Warner Bros. production kicking off filming in the Chinatown section of the Bay Area. However, Moss and Keanu Reeves will be strongly invole for “The Matrix 4” by returning franchise actress Jada Pinkett Smith, who debuted in “The Matrix Reloaded.”

Newcomers to the series will include Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Jessica Henwick. As well as Neil Patrick Harris, Jonathan Groff, Toby Onwumere, Max Riemelt, and Eréndira Ibarra. The . will release “The Matrix 4” in theaters nationwide May 21, 2021
